Ingredients

  • 4 ¼ pound Hamburger patties
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 4 slices Sharp white cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups Arugula
  • 1 ½ cups Pickled red cabbage see notes for recipe to make your own
  • 1 Avocado sliced optional
  • 4 Tablespoons Mayo
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce
  • 4 Whole wheat hamburger buns toasted

Instructions

  • If you are going to pickle you own cabbage do that first (recipe in notes section)
  • Preheat your grill to high heat.
  • Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper. Grill covered over high heat for 2-3 minutes per side or until cooked to your desired doneness (this will depend on the thickness of your patties and how your grill cooks). Place 1 slice of cheese on top of each patty in the last minute of cooking. Transfer to a plate to rest for a few minutes.
  • Spread mayo and sriracha sauce on each bun half. Place a patty on the bottom bun then top with the Pickled cabbage, Arugula and Avocado if desired. Top with the top bun (obviously 😃).
